Eastern Regional Advisory Council

The MetroTex Association of REALTORS, Inc. has created five regional advisory councils (RAC’s) in each of its five service center areas to provide the Association and its membership with insight into the state of the market in that region. The RAC’s will also serve as ambassadors for MetroTex to members and potential members of the organization. Please use the RAC’s as a resource to funnel information back to the Association about how we can better serve you.

Barbara Hensley

Re/Max Hometown

My proudest achievements in the business were receiving the REALTOR of the Year/Easterwood Award and attending and graduating from the MetroTex Leadership Program. Serving as a Director for MetroTex and TAR for several years resulted in an appreciation of how fortunate we, as REALTORS, are to be living and conducting our business in this area. The one consistent thing in all these years is CHANGE. Things will and do change so rapidly that we can never feel we have learned it all or achieved the ultimate level in our careers. I find change exciting and am proud to be associated with a Board of REALTORS that embraces, encourages, and, yes, pushes us all to change and grow. My goal is to learn one new thing each day that will enhance my business and professional growth. This is easy to do, and the results will be amazing.

Chandra Karlen

Ebby Halliday, REALTORS

I have held a Texas Real Estate License since 1988.  I began my Real Estate career in Commercial Real Estate in Dallas, TX. and in 1990 switched to the Residential arena. My husband and I were born and raised in Dallas, TX and lived there until our move to Rockwall in 1996. It was my pleasure to  serve on the Board of Directors for the Greater Dallas Association of Realtors/MetroTex for several years and also as a Director and TREPAC Trustee for the Texas Association of Realtors. TREPAC is my passion and feel that it is critical for all Realtors to be involved in this important aspect of our business that protects the property rights of buyers and sellers and keeps our industry strong. I feel that I have been truly blessed to be a Realtor and it is my joy to assist buyers and sellers from 1st time homebuyers to those that are downsizing.

Judy Keffer

Coldwell Banker Apex

Judy has been a member of the real estate community since 1985.  The first 13 years of her career were in sales management and training; however, she eventually discovered that the real fun is out there helping people who needed direction in their real estate needs.  As of 2012, she is proud to say that she has been in sales longer then management.

For many years Judy served on the Grievance and Professional Standards committees of the Greater Dallas Board of Realtors.  She has been a proud member of Women's Council of Realtors since 1991, and served as local chapter president of Dallas Metro East WCR in 1994 and again in 2010.  She not only has a heart to serve the real estate needs of the public, but also to give back to the Realtor community from which she has so greatly benefited.
