PODCAST: How to comply with new TREC advertising rules

As of March 9, the Texas Real Estate Commission will require agents’ advertising to clearly and conspicuously contain the name of their broker. The name can be that of the individual broker, a business entity licensed as a corporate broker, or an assumed name of the broker that’s on file with TREC. The rule doesn’t stipulate a minimum required size for the broker’s name; however, TREC has adopted a policy that if the broker’s name is at least half the size of the largest contact information in the advertising, that ad will be acceptable under the rule.
