TREC Education Requirements
Below are links to help you learn more about what is required to renew your real estate license and the type of education required by the Texas Real Estate Commission. SAE Education Requirements
Once you have received an active Texas Real Estate Commission license the 1st year renewal requires 60 Core Salesperson Annual Education (SAE). MetroTex Association of REALTORS® does offer SAE courses. Please click here to view our 2012 SAE course schedule.

MCE Education Requirements
After a licensee has successfully completed the SAE education requirements then they will be under Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE). This mandates 15 hours of MCE courses, including the 3 hours of TREC Legal Update course and 3 hours of TREC Ethics course. MetroTex Association of REALTORS® does offer a variety of MCE courses. Pre-licensing Education Requirements
The Texas Real Estate Commission requires 210 hours of pre-licensing courses. MetroTex Association of REALTORS® currently does not offer pre-licensing courses. (Note: To find classes, see Core Real Estate License Education Providers for salespersons or brokers).
